This policy covers all four apps; they work the same way with your information.

In short

The app keeps everything on your phone. There is no account or sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and the app never sends your information to us or to anyone else.

What the app keeps

Your tasks, your family details (names, birth stars, and the date, time and place of birth when you give them), saved jathakams, your settings and the jathakams you have paid for. They are stored only in the app's own files on this phone.

Location

If you allow it, the app uses your approximate location to work out sunrise, Rahu kalam, nalla samayam (nalla neram) and the day's star for where you are. It is used on the phone only and never sent anywhere. You can choose a place yourself instead (Settings → Location) and turn location off at any time in your phone's settings.

Notifications

Reminders for your tasks and family days are set on the phone itself. Nothing goes through a server.

Payments

The full jathakam is bought through Google Play (or the App Store). The store handles the payment; we never see your card or bank details. The app keeps the order number on the phone so a purchase can be looked up if you ask us about it.

Backups and sharing

Your phone's own backup (Google or iCloud), when it is turned on, may include the app's files so they come back on a new or reset phone - that is between you and Google or Apple. The app shares your data only when you choose to: Share data, or saving a jathakam as a PDF.

Deleting your data

Delete a task or family member in the app, or uninstall the app (or clear its storage in the phone's settings) to remove everything. As we hold none of your data, there is nothing to delete on our side.

Children

The app is not meant for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be in the app and on this page, with the date it changed.
